The Canyon String Quartet will play classical chamber music with some contemporary pieces!

About Canyon String Quartet:

The Canyon String Quartet, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, was founded in 2016 to bring chamber music to those who might not otherwise hear it. The Canyon String Quartet enriches the community by providing several chamber music recitals yearly. They also give back to the community through regular school performances and charity events. In 2018, the Canyon String Quartet played a benefit concert, raising funds to provide a summer camp for students of the El Sistema strings program in Venezuela. They also enjoy playing for local charities, including, most recently, the University of Utah Grief Support Groups. Current members of the quartet, Emily Rust, Molly Cowley, Nichelle Bowers, and Sarah Arnesen, hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music performance from Brigham Young University-Idaho, Brigham Young University, Utah State University, The University of Utah, and The University of Northern Iowa. All are dedicated to their craft, continuing their education through workshops, classes, lessons, institutes, and coaching.
