A classical guitar performance with music from Vivaldi, Bach, Manuel M. Ponce, oldies, Isaac Albeniz, the art of several styles, different ways to know the instrument, classical guitar is a whole new world with techniques as tremolo, Spanish strumming, like maestro Andres Segovia one’s said “an orchestra in our hands” come and discover this new way to see the music, from romantic, antique and modern music.


About Gabino Flores:

Gabino is one of Utah’s premier performers and instructors of classical guitar. His formal classical guitar education includes The Mexican National Institute of Fine Arts (1994-1996), The National Conservatory of Music of Mexico City (1996-2002), the study of classical guitar master techniques with Maestro Fernando Marina from the Cuban School of Music (2000-2002), as well as many master classes with world renown guitarists such as David Russell, Denis Azabagic, Ana Vidovic, John Williams, and Leo Brouwer. He placed second in The National Conservatory of Music of Mexico City guitar competition. Gabino has performed extensively in Mexico and the Salt Lake area since relocating to Salt Lake City in 2008. He founded the Utah Classical Guitar Orchestra and teaches privately and for school and community programs in the Salt Lake area. He was a Utah Classical Guitar board member and lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and four children.
