The Davis Master Chorale, founded in 1996, is a community choir focused on providing the opportunity for all who desire to experience the joy of singing great music. The non-auditioned choir performs regularly at Temple Square and throughout Davis County. Their repertoire ranges from major choral works to simple folk tunes. Jim Johnson has been musical director for the past 10 years with Christie Canfield as accompanist. The Chorale performs many benefit concerts, recently for Safe Harbor and has given out scholarships to local music students. This year’s concert, “Voices of America – from Patriotic to Pop,” will include folk music and show tunes as well.

Opening for Davis Master Chorale will be the Cutler Family Fiddlers, a violin trio comprised of siblings Heather Hendrix, Ashley Cutler, and Luke Cutler. Each started playing the violin by age four. Their parents are Kevin and Joy Cutler of Layton. Heather is married to Scott Hendrix and works as a publicist for Deseret Book (after several years at various roles at the Davis Arts Council; Ashley is pursuing her master’s degree in school counseling; and Luke will leave in July to serve a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mission in Montreal, Canada. They love performing for the Davis Arts Council!
