Edye Isaacson-Wagstaff, DAC Patron Services Manager, hails from La Grande, Oregon. Active from an early age as a vocalist, she acted and sang her way through high school (teaching herself how to play the piano). She toured Europe at the age of 16 with America’s Youth in Concert as one of two representatives from Oregon. After attending Ricks College in Idaho, she went to Utah State University, where she was featured as a member of choirs and a soloist, as well as performing in several musicals and operas. She was an adjunct vocal instructor for Utah State, and has continued to teach voice.
Edye met her husband, Reed, in the Lyric Theatre in Logan; they are the parents of two children, Vosco and Ruby (as well as two Corgis, Millie and Brandy). Edye was the musical director for nearly twenty years at the Old Lyric Repertory Company, and also musically directed and vocal coached for Utah State Theatre and Utah State Opera Theatre. She was also featured as a soloist and actress with the East Carolina University Opera, Old Lyric Rep, and Utah Festival Opera Company.
Upon moving to Kaysville in 2006, Edye joined the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and was honored to solo twice on “Music and the Spoken Word”. After eight years in the Choir, she resigned to spend more time with her family, restart her vocal studio, and explore career options. She joined the DAC in March 2016 and loves her job and the people she works with.
Edye enjoys travel, cooking, singing (with her built-in-accompanist husband), and family time. She is thrilled to be working in the arts that she loves so much.
