Special guest artist Laura Bedore of “Show Tunes Saturday Night” (Today’s 106.5 FM) will host “Happily Ever After,” a musical review for fairy tale lovers of all ages. Laura will narrate, direct, choreograph and sing her way through the 90 minute show which features talented local performers Jana Plowman, Dave Marsden, Trissy Bawden, Mat Shaw, Blaine & Lindsay Hickman and Nick & Jami Balaitch. Selections from Tangled, Wicked, Enchanted, Into the Woods, Beauty & the Beast, The 12 Dancing Princesses, Once Upon A Mattress and Cinderella (just to name a few) will be sure to charm all of the little Princes and Princesses in the audience, who are encouraged to dress up for a Prince & Princess Parade during the show.
Laura Bedore Heugly was raised on a sincere belief in fairy tales and therefore it is no wonder that much of her life revolves around them. She has a dream come true profession where every Saturday til the stroke of twelve she gets to play musicals and sing along. The other days of the week she plays Fairy Godmother at Mask Costumes, the business she owns with her handsome prince of a husband Ryan. She has written her own fairy tales and hopes to have them published and her popular musical version of The 12 Dancing Princesses (written with her mother Dorothy Keddington, Aunt Kathy Skidmore and Sister Stephanie Clark) and adaptation of Pride and Prejudice have already been performed. Occasionally she transforms herself into various characters on stage, including the Kenley Amphitheatre, Hale Centre Theatre, Off Broadway Theatre. If granted 3 wishes, she would turn all dishonest politicians into frogs, create magical food so none would go hungry, then have a massive world-wide masquerade ball.
