An evening of music with more than a touch of romance will feature soprano, Susan Facer of Farmington singing love songs from light opera and musical theater. Susan has performed the role of Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera in the Second and Third National Tours and on Broadway, where she also performed as a singer in Riverdance. Favorite opera roles include Papagena in The Magic Flute, Cinderella in The True Story of Cinderella, and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.
The elegant “Liebeslieder (Love Song) Waltzes” of Johannes Brahms will transport the listener to the ballrooms of Europe. Two married couples, Nick & Jamie Balaitch and Blaine & Lindsay Hickman will sing the lush four-part harmonies accompanied by mother and daughter duo-pianists, Kathy Skidmore and Melinda Taylor. The melodies of Beethoven will be performed by members of the Wasatch Chamber Music Society “String Quartet” and pianist Kelsie Call “Piano Sonata No. 8 Pathetique.”
