Music of America will spotlight works of local composers.

The featured soloist is prolific pianist/composer/arranger Kelsie Call who will perform several of her compositions for piano.

Weber State University (WSU) faculty member Dr. Karen Brookens, soprano will sing a set of art songs with music by her colleague Dr. Mark Henderson set to the poetry of Emily Dickinson. Members of the Wasatch Chamber Music Society will perform two movements from Dvorak’s “American String Quartet.” “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and other American folk hymns will be sung by soprano Chris Harmon. Kathy Skidmore will present selections from her musical version of Pride & Prejudice which recently received its world premiere at Lone Peak High School. “The Three Preludes for Piano” by Farmington composer Lois Gatrell will be played by WSU pianist Sharon Datuin.
