Based on the MGM film, leading man Don Lockwood and co-star Lina Lamont trying to make the transition from silent movies to talking pictures. That is particularly tricky for Lamont, whose high-pitched voice was better “heard” in subtitles on the silent screen. A crowd-pleaser for all ages. Music by Nacio Herb Brown, Lyrics by Arthur Freed, book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
