The Davis Arts Council is seeking community members to serve as Volunteer Gallery Assistants at the Snow Horse Art Galleries. Volunteer Gallery Assistants hang art shows at our two galleries located at the Davis Conference Center and the Intermountain Layton Hospital. Gallery changeover dates and times can be adjusted based on both artist, venue, and volunteer availability.
Successful candidates:
- Love visual art and working with artists
- Have a passion for decorating and design
- Are comfortable meeting and working with new people
- Feel confident handling fragile works of art
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting artists at gallery locations to facilitate art drop-off
- Hanging art using a rail and wire system
- Photographing finished art shows for social media
- Handling delicate pieces of art.
- Removing art for pick-up
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Climbing and working on ladders
- Lifting up to 25 lbs above your head
