Kenley Drone Photo

With so many venues out there to choose from, many offering similar entertainment, it can be hard to choose which one to go to for a good show. If you are looking for some high-quality summer entertainment in a beautiful location, The Kenley is for you!

Here are the 5 reasons why we think The Kenley Amphitheater is the best venue around.

1. The Kenley Amphitheater is small

The Kenley only holds about 1800 people, making it one of the smaller venues in the area. Not only that, the amphitheater is more wide than deep. That means even in the very back of the venue, you are still less than 150 feet away from the stage! That’s less than half a football field. No binoculars necessary!

2. Fewer people in The Kenley Amphitheater

Like we said before, the venue only holds about 1800 people. See the photo above? That is a completely sold-out show! We pride ourselves on providing a three-foot bubble of personal space to each and every general admission patron. Even our reserved section has plenty of legroom. You don’t need to stand up when someone walks in front of you.

Side note: Our general admission patrons line themselves up nice and neat in the grass like this. We are very proud!

3. The Kenley Amphitheater is picturesque

We might be biased but we think The Kenley Amphitheater is one of the most beautiful venues around. We are perfectly located in the heart of Layton Commons Park. Dozens of trees surround the venue providing shade and scenery. Some of those trees have been around for over 100 years! Concerts at The Kenley Amphitheater feel like a private, backyard concert experience.

4. Get up-close and personal with the artists

The Kenley Amphitheater gives you an up-close and personal concert experience with the artists that grace the stage. Where else can you see bands like Styx, The Beach Boys, REO Speedwagon, Olivia Newton-John, Wilson Phillips, and Pat Benatar in a venue that feels like your own backyard? While all of our patrons have an excellent view of the stage no matter where they sit, those in the orchestra section often have some epic experiences. Just look at David Archuleta handing the microphone to this lucky girl!

5. The Kenley Amphitheater offers a variety of free programming

We know concerts can be pricey. Or maybe you prefer movies instead. Either way, The Kenley Amphitheater hosts a variety of our programs every summer for the members of our community.

We are proud to say we host present the longest-running free outdoor concert series in the state called our Free Sunday Night Concert Series. This series features many of the most talented musicians Utah has to offer. This program occurs the first Sunday of the month, June through August.

Our Free Friday Film Series is another program we provide at The Kenley Amphitheater. Every Friday, June through August, you can bring your friends and family to view a free movie in the park. We strive to provide a mix of new favorites and old classics so there is something for everyone.

See? We told you The Kenley is the best!

With so many options out there for outdoor entertainment, we hope that we convinced you to visit our little amphitheater oasis this summer. Be warned though, you will not want to go to any other venue again! Seriously, we hear it all the time.
