Featured artists: The Skidmore Singers and The Starburst Singers children’s group.

The Skidmore Singers, a 20-voice group of men and women from Davis County, is under the direction of Kathy Skidmore, with Kayleen Harris as pianist. The group has been singing together for 20 years, including performing as Victorian Carolers at Christmas time for the Governor’s Mansion Concert Series and at the Governor’s Artist Awards. The singers have also performed choral concerts at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square, the Cathedral of the Madeleine and St. Mark’s Cathedral in Salt Lake City, as well as the historic St. George, Brigham City and Paris, Idaho, LDS Tabernacles.

The Starburst Singers is a local children’s performing ensemble directed by Kristen Knowlton Rash. Singers, from 3-12 years of age, have been delighting audiences over the past six years. They are currently presenting “Rock Around the Clock,” a tribute to music of the 1950s and ‘60s. It has been fun putting on the poodle skirts and greased-back hair for a trip down memory lane.
